Hi everyone, this is Derrick from Serious Game Research.

Today, Microsoft revealed that gamers all over the world have played the equivalent to 100,000 years, or 1 billion hours of Minecraft, for Xbox360.

Minecraft has sold over 6 million units which equates to 120 million dollars since its launch.

Both game sales and playing time are likely to increase even further, as a disk based Minecraft is going to be released in the US to retailers in early May, this will be followed by a release in Asia, Australia, and Europe.

Check back soon with Serious Game Research for more news and information on the latest in the gaming industry.
